UFC 148 Brings World-Class Fighters to Tabú
Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7
Tabú, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino’s stylish boutique nightclub, will welcome former UFC champion BJ “The Prodigy” Penn when he makes a special appearance at the hot spot Friday, July 6. Tabú also will welcome mixed martial artist and UFC 148 main event fighter Chael Sonnen when he hosts his post-fight party Saturday, July 7.
Friday, July 6
Penn, who owns a record of 16-8-2, is the only fighter to win both a UFC Lightweight and Welterweight title. He received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt from Andre Pederneiras in only three years, an achievement in a sport that takes the average athlete 10 years or more to reach black belt status. Due to his extraordinary talent for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Penn earned the nickname “The Prodigy.”
Saturday, July 7
Sonnen will make his way to Tabú for his post-fight party following his UFC 148 rematch against Anderson “The Spider” Silva. Silva defeated Sonnen in 2010 and Sonnen hopes to redeem himself Saturday, July 7 at UFC 148 at MGM Grand. Sonnen has won 10 of his last 13 bouts including a November 2008 decision over previously unbeaten WEC middleweight champ Paulo Filho.
Clubgoers will join Penn and Sonnen as they spend their nights alongside Tabú’s go-go dancers, dancing to the sounds of DJ Eric Forbes and DJ Kid Jay while sipping signature cocktails served by sexy model servers at the nightlife venue.
