Station Casinos’ April house entertainment

 

Station Casinos entertains locals with a number of new weekly acts and shows at several of its properties in addition to its trademark bands that the city has grown to love. Tickets into the shows are free unless otherwise noted.

Guests can enjoy incredible entertainment across Station Casinos in April. Highlights include: March Madness viewing party at Green Valley Ranch on April 2; Comedian Ed Driscoll at Palace Station from April 4-7; DSB performing the hits of Journey at Texas Station on April 6; Dr. Zhivegas at Green Valley Ranch on April 13 and 14; Queen of the Night with Trina Johnson Finn performing a tribute to Whitney Houston on Texas Station on April 20; Michael Grimm at Green Valley Ranch on Saturdays beginning April 21 and The Platters featuring the legendary Monroe Powell at Aliante Station on April 29. Sunday, April 8:

  • Ovation – Guests can enjoy the sounds of Jack Walker. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $15 at the door. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Every Tuesday:

  • Quinn’s Irish Pub – Test your knowledge at pub trivia from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Peter Love plays piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Wednesday:

  • Quinn’s Irish Pub – Guests advance to different levels of difficulty as they sing their hearts out at Karate Karaoke from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Guitarist and singer Dave Ritz performs Top 40 hits from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Wednesday, April 4:

  • Ovation – Guests can enjoy Las Vegas’ favorite hard rockers, Otherwise. Doors open at 9 p.m. Otherwise has secured their place among Las Vegas’ elite rock outfits. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Every Thursday:

  • Ovation – Enjoy live music on a rotating schedule with a variety of genres including the diverse and energetic sounds of Loophole on April 5, yacht rock with Guilty Pleasures on April 19 and jazz-inspired funk with the Lon Bronson All-Star Band on April 26. Doors open at 8 p.m. for all performances except Guilty Pleasures, which opens at 7p.m. The show is dark on April 12. Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • Quinn’s Irish Pub – Darby O’Gill & The Little People take the stage from 9 p.m. to midnight. Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Peter Love plays piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Lobby Bar – Guests can enjoy DJ Seany Mac as he spins the night away from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Every Friday:

  • Ovation – Guests enjoy Nashville Unplugged twice per month (April 13 and 27), featuring hosts and singer/songwriters Brian McComas and Aaron Benward, along with special guests, who will present “The Story Behind the Song.” Doors open at 7:15 p.m. Cover is $5 and guests must be 21 years or older.
  • Ovation – Guests can enjoy the soul sounds of Barry Black. The show is dark on April 13 and 27. Dr. Zhivegas will perform on 4/13 and Phoenix will perform on 4/27. Doors open at 10 p.m. and guests must be 21 years or older.

  • Dallas Events Center – Guests can enjoy Queen of the Night, as Trina Johnson Finn covers the classic hits of Whitney Houston. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10 plus tax and applicable fees. Guests under 21 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Every Saturday:

  • South Padre – Yellow Brick Road (YBR) performs with doors at 9 p.m. This Las Vegas-based classic rock tribute band takes on the entire classic rock/pop spectrum with an emphasis on details and inflections. Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • A-Bar – Darrin Michaels plays jazz from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • Martini Bar – Guests can enjoy the diverse sounds of Betsy Holm from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Every Sunday:

  • The Railhead – Latin Night with Noche Nortena featuring El Moreno Carrillo Y Su Banda Tierra Sagrada, delivering the best in regional Mexican music at 9:30 p.m. The music flows, leading up to the show and between sets with a DJ spinning the best Latin tunes from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Cover is $5 for women and $10 for men. Thursday, April 26:

  • The Railhead – Boulder Blues features local blues bands opening for some of the country’s best blues musicians. The Nick Evans Mowery Project opens for Walter Trout with doors at 7 p.m. There is a $5 cover and guests must be 21 years or older.

Every Friday:

  • The Railhead – Guests can enjoy La Nueva Live Mix. Doors open at 10 p.m. There is a $10 cover for men. Cover is $5 for women, after midnight. Guests must be 21 years or older.
  • KIXX - Sing the night away with Karate Karaoke from 8 p.m. to midnight. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Every Saturday:

  • The Railhead – Boulder Blues features local blues bands opening for some of the country’s best blues musicians. The April schedule features: Jr. Boy opening for Coco Montoya on April 7, Rockin’ Billy & The Rhythm Riot opening for Chris Duarte  on April 14, Diane Kallay opening for Nick Moss on April 21 and Scott Rhiner & The Moanin’ Blacksnakes opening for Rick Estrin & The Nightcats on April 28.   • Louie Anderson Theater – Comedian and writer, Ed Driscoll, headlines while Louie Anderson is on the road. Driscoll began his comedy career as a performer at clubs and on television in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. He quickly gained national notoriety as a touring comic, opening for such performers as Jay Leno, Steven Wright and Robert Klein. Driscoll’s work on HBO’s “Dennis Miller Live” was recognized with an Emmy Award, a Cable Ace Award and a Writers Guild of America Award. Driscoll is currently a writer and producer for ABC’s “Joey and Melissa.”
