The legendary O’Jays will bring their international hits and memorable stage presence to The Club inside the Cannery Casino on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 8 p.m.
The O’Jays produced 10 #1 hits, 24 Top Ten songs, 10 gold and 9 platinum records with such recognizable hits as “Love Train,” “Back Stabbers,” “For The Love Of Money,” “I Love Music,” “Use To be My Girl,” “Stairway to Heaven” and “Forever Mine.”
The group includes original O’Jays members Eddie Levert, Sr., Walter Williams, Sr. and vocalist Eric Nolan Grant who joined the group in 1995. The mixture of “old school” and contemporary has turned into a winning formula attracting audiences that are multi-generational, often including kids as well as grandparents.
In addition to the recognition the O’Jays have received on the billboard charts, the group has earned its share of awards. In 2005, the O’Jays were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The group has been nominated four times for a Grammy® award and was presented with an American Music Award in 1990 for Best Group.
